Asphalt resealing POSTPONED! (TBD)

June 19 - June 23

There will be NO asphalt surfacing tomorrow (June 19).  Weather permitting, the schedule will be followed as previously shared with you beginning this Tuesday at 8 AM.

With the possibility of rain every day this week, Asphalt Paving will be monitoring our situation day-by-day and we will keep you posted.

Also, keep in mind that parking at McFee Park is permitted from 6 AM to 10 PM.  Let’s just be patient as we are not in control of the weather.

From previous emails (with a few amendments):

Asphalt driveways and the Clubhouse parking lot are scheduled to be resealed on Monday June 19th, Tuesday June 20th and Wednesday, June 21st, weather permitting.

The daily addresses affected are:

Monday, June 19th: POSTPONED, POSSIBLY TO THURSDAY

711,707,705,709,708,706,710,712,720,718,722,724,732,730,731,729

Tuesday, June 20th:

Wednesday, June 21st:

821,819,817,823,825,827,837,839,835,833,903,901,802,800

Thursday, June 22nd:

Will be a makeup day should any day be cancelled because of rain.

Please plan ahead!!  Ask neighbors with concrete driveways if they have room to share for extra parking.

When your driveway is sealed, you will not be able to walk on your driveway for at least 8 hours and you cannot drive on it for 48 hours.  It is up to you to test the coating to avoid tracking the sealant into your home.  This is your responsibility!  This is messy stuff and neither the HOA nor the contractor will pay for carpet or floor cleaning.

It is highly recommended that you enter and leave the neighborhood from the east entrance during the sealing.

Additional Asphalt Sealing Information

  1. Trash Pickup – trash pickup will proceed as usual on Tuesday, June 18th. Please place your container on the grass at the curb in front of your home well in advance of the day sealing will take place.  Leave the container at the curb until the sealant has cured.  If you park your car in front of your house, be certain that the Waste Management truck can pass.
  2. Parking Suggestions
    1. On the lawn in front of your home. Do not drive over sprinkler heads.
    2. In the grass area near the walkway from the greenway to Pryse Farm Blvd located between the path and 916/920 driveway.  Use it as a parking lot.
    3. McFee Park parking lot is available from 6 AM to 10 PM.
    4. Ask a neighbor with a concrete driveway if you can park there for a couple of days.
    5. On the shoulder of Evans road.
  3. Overspray – if you have any concern for overspray on your sidewalk or garage door/ floor, mask the area off. Cardboard material will work best.

ADDED NOTE: The cutting crew will not be mowing this week.  They will be trimming shrubs, etc. which will not involve walking or riding on the fresh blacktop.
